A THOUGHT FOR THOSE OF US STAYING HOME:
For the first time in history, the ENTIRE WORLD have come into UNITY agreeing that this pandemic needs to end as fast as humanly possible and flatten the curve for eternity.
Sitting at home, what contribution am I able to make that will result in ANY CHANGE IN THE WORLD? Apart from the obvious more practical steps (stay at home, use handsanitizer, wear a mask); there are a few very effective spiritual principles you are able to apply as well. If the Holy Spirit resides inside of you, you actually have more inherent power than you realize.
1 Tim 2:1-2
1. I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, PRAYERS, intercessions, and GIVING OF THANKS, be made for all men;
2. For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a QUIET and PEACEABLE life in all GODLINESS and HONESTY
We all want QUIET, PEACE, GODLINESS, HONESTY in our lives and in our nation…. and QUIET, PEACE, GODLINESS, HONESTY are achieved by praying for all in authority over us.
Lets Pray for our SANDF Men and Women who are working tirelessly to keep us safe and are on the forefront in keeping law and order as well as our medical staff who are working long hours to prevent this virus from becoming a nightmare.
Children learn through example. Lets teach our children one of the most important principles in Gods Word. I suggest the following method (this was how my Parents instilled it in me to pray for our Leaders)
– Family get together
– Choose a mealtime to pray for our leaders
– Sit at a table
– Bless your food (you do not want any viruses or germs on them)
– Ask God to protect, lead and guide every Leader and Essential Staff (v2 – they are in authority over us during this pandemic) in the nation.
– Ask God to keep their families safe and ask Him to show them His Power & Love. Their families at home are fearful their loved ones will contract this virus in the line of duty. Scripture says in 2 Tim 1v7 power, love and a sound mind is the antidote for fear.
– Ask a different child to pray at each meal for the SANDF, MEDICAL STAFF, SAPS and all ESSENTIAL WORKERS protection. Children are more sensitive to God than most adults, He answers their simplistic prayers in ways we never imagine. The Bible teaches us their Guardian angels see God face to face (Matt 18v10)
ONE OF THE BIGGEST GAME CHANGERS EVER – CHANGE YOUR SPEECH!
God gave us the ability to create through our WORDS. We see this principle in Gen 1v3 “God said: Let there be Light and there was light”. If praying for our leaders brings QUIET, PEACE, GODLINESS and HONESTY, then speaking AGAINST them brings the OPPOSITE into existence. Let me explain.
Thanks to the WAR movies we watch, we have become familiar with the term NO MAN’S LAND/NEUTRAL ZONE. This has led us to believe that the following scenario is true for life
But the Spirit realm is different. The Bible tells us it is either LIFE or DEATH
The principle remains, if we are not praying according to 1 Tim 2v7, we are confessing something other than Gods Perfect Plan into existence or we are ALLOWING/GIVING IT PERMISSION to come into our lives. How? Through our words which do not align with the plans of God resulting in the angels not been activated to fight on our behalf and through not obeying the scriptures by praying.
There is no neutral in the spirit. There is no middle of the road when it comes to the power of our words. Which brings us to the a very disturbing fact. If we are not praying for our Government, what are we releasing over our nation?
> QUIET – TURBULENT, THUNDERING, STORMY, TROUBLED
> PEACE – WAR, STATE OF WAR
> GODLINESS – UNGODLINESS, GODLESSNESS
> HONESTY – DISHONESTY, CORRUPTION
Why does this work?
1. The devil hates unity. Where there is unity GOD COMMANDS A BLESSING. (Ps 133v1-3)
Not gives, COMMANDS (with the same force that He created the entire universe with), which means NO DEVIL CAN STAND AGAINST THE BLESSING THAT GOD IS GOING TO GIVE US. The world is already in unity regarding the corona virus, lets come into agreement with the Spirit of Truth and put it under the feet of Jesus.
2. When Believers pray in unity, a time of refreshing comes. Ps 133v3 – dew = refreshing
3. It produces LIFE FOR EVERMORE
4. As Believers, we have the Spirit of Truth guiding us. Truth sets free, so if Believers pray in agreement with the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of Truth is strong enough to break any demonic deception, stronghold or demonic agreement. It will bring DELIVERANCE (breaking bondages, open prison doors) if we pray in agreement with the SPIRIT OF TRUTH. (John 16v13)
Lies bring a curse and a bondage. Read Gen 20v1-18.
An unsaved King recognised that Abraham brought a curse on them through a lie.
Gen 20v9 “What great sin have you brought on me and my kingdom?”
The Spirit of Truth will always break a curse and bring BLESSING, DELIVERANCE, TIMES OF REFRESHING and LIFE
TO BRING CHANGE, OBEY SCRIPTURE. PRAY FOR LEADERS AND ALL IN AUTHORITY. COME IN AGREEMENT WITH THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH AND CHOOSE TO CHANGE YOUR CONFESSION ABOUT COVID-19, YOUR LEADERS AND COME IN AGREEMENT WITH BELIEVERS SO GOD MAY COMMAND A BLESSING ON PLANET EARTH
