UPDATE

j9s reflections under construction

Update…much has happened/changed/evolved/suddenly shifted for my family since my last post.

We had a sudden unexpected relocation to a new city. The ministry has evolved. God has been dealing with much deeper revelations than He has shared before. Most of them I have not even managed to process in my spirit. It has been download, download, download for more than a year now.  I have sat to write, but then I look at the depth of the revelation and I know I do not have the full picture of it. My not having the full picture means I am sharing something I have not tested the fruit of yet. Will start posting soonest.

Blessings

HEDGE OF PROTECTION

I stumbled on the HEDGE OF PROTECTION while Arthur and I were busy drafting our pre-marriage course.  It is one of those hidden truths that once you uncover it, you can follow the thread through many scriptures in the word of God. I have always had a passion to help couples (even those with good marriages) raise their marriages to the standard that it reflect God’s heart on family.

In the year 2000, God gave me a rhema understanding of the spiritual covering in a marriage. He showed me a circle and how praying for your spouse influences your marriage and how not praying for your spouse negatively impacts your marriage.

In my search to find the Godly principles of marriages in the Bible, I realized every marriage mentioned came after the fall. And most of them had some serious flaws in them. That led me to searching the scriptures for marriage principles “Before the Fall”, which as most of you know; there are only 2 chapters in the Bible (Gen 1 & 2) which match the “Before the Fall” criterion.  After rereading and meditating on the scriptures, the following scripture came to life.

Gen 2 v 8    The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.

This scripture is found 8 verses after God says in Gen 1:31 “And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.”

The question arose in my spirit: if God was happy with the earth the way He had created it, why did He specifically go and “plant a Garden in Eden”? What did God put in Eden that was more personal to Him than the rest of the Earth which God thought was good, very good? Not been a keen gardener, the answer I concluded was that every Garden is different by the choice of the designer. I plant the shrubs, trees and plants in my garden that I love. My neighbor plants the shrubs, trees and plants in their garden that they love. That was my clue that God had planted something in Eden which was not planted in the rest of the Earth, but was undeniably close to His heart.

A quick search in the Strong’s Concordance produced the following meaning for the word Garden:

1588  gan (gan); from 1598;  a garden (as fenced):

KJV– garden.

1598  ganan (gaw-nan’); a primitive root; to hedge about, i.e. (generally) protect:

KJV– defend.

(There are more principles relating to marriage in this scripture which I am choosing not to discuss in this blog post)

At that stage I realized that by praying for my spouse and my family on a daily basis, I was protecting the principles God planted in marriage. Whenever I prayed I would visualize our family been surrounded by a hedge of protection (the circle God showed me in the spiritual covering) that God would put there if we stayed in unity and obeyed God’s commandments.

This served my family well for a couple of years. At the start of 2012, we came against a demonic onslaught that we could not overcome.During this intense time of warfare, Kenneth Copeland Ministries aired this particular episode on Believers Voice of Victory with Gloria Copeland and Billye Brim explaining Bloodlines:

http://www.kcm.org/media/webcast/gloria-copeland-and-billye-brim/120208-take-your-place-of-authority

Please watch this episode and receive the revelation from Gloria and Billye.

Suddenly everything started making sense. I was praying right and asking God to protect my family, but I was not applying the blood line to keep the enemy away.

Heb 12:24  Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

During deliverances I had learnt that the Blood of Jesus tells the demonic realm that they had no right in the area where a bloodline had been drawn.

I copied the bloodline prayer which Billye Brim gives in her teaching and Arthur and I started praying it daily. Within 3 weeks God gave us the victory in the attack we had been facing and we had one of our largest spiritual breakthroughs ever in our personal lives.

Amos writes how we can escape the dangers out in the world that come against us, but when we get home the serpent bites us. If we delve deeper into Gen 2v8, it speaks about our home as been a safe place.

Amos 5:19  It will be as though a man fled from a lion,And a bear met him! Or as though he went into the house, leaned his hand on the wall,And a serpent bit him!

Applying the Bloodline daily keeps you under God’s protection. God keeps His part in protecting us, however we through ignorance open ourselves up to the devil’s attacks by giving place to the devil.

Eph 4: 26 “Be angry, and do not sin”:* do not let the sun go down on your wrath,

27 nor give place to the devil.

The serpent can only enter our homes if we give him a access. An example in scripture of giving place to the devil is:

 Job 1:8-9

8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”

9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

Job 1:5  So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed* God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly.

Job 1:13-19

Job Loses His Property and Children

13 Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house; 14 and a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them, 15 when the Sabeans* raided them and took them away — indeed they have killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

16 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

17 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three bands, raided the camels and took them away, yes, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

18 While he was still speaking, another also came and said,”Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house, 19 and suddenly a great wind came from across* the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

It almost seems as if God has failed Job after the devil himself admitted that God put the hedge around Job, his household, and all that he has. Fortunately, Job himself gives us the answer in

Job 3:25 For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me.

Job had opened the door to the serpent in his life through Fear.

Applying the blood lines daily has positively impacted our spiritual growth  (you are spend time focusing on God and not trying to bring chaos in order), kept my family at peace, allowed us to enjoy each other as a family as we are not running around putting out fires everywhere, given us times of peace even though the world had predicted a storm,  helped us steer through very troubled times with ease and peace, kept us healthy, has helped us to focus on the important aspects of God’s character by having more time to help other people, and the most important to me, it has kept my children safe when i have not been able to be with them to guard over them (going to school and functions), it has kept bad influences at bay as a demonized person does not enjoy coming into our home.

However, we needed to do our part in benefitting from this Blessing. We needed to keep the hedges closed by not allowing strife in our family. (Ps 133v1-3 where there is unity, God commands a blessing). By dealing with our fears at the feet of Jesus (perfect love casts out fear). By walking in forgiveness. (Eph 4v25) are a few points to mention. Do not look at the list I have mentioned and think “How am I going to enjoy this level of protection if stop my children cannot stop bickering?”

The answer is simple. The Holy Spirit is our teacher. If you allow Him, He will guide you ever step of the way as you grow in God. I only mention all the benefits to encourage you to push in with the God on this point. The Holy Spirit taught us step by step about the unity, about how to deal with fear, about walking in forgiveness, about loving other people. I can guarantee you that my family have still not learnt all the principals we need to be in perfect protection. But we are willing to learn and the Holy Spirit teaches us the next truth at the exact time that we need it. He will do the same for you as He is no respecter of persons.

Praying has a side to it many of us are not aware of.  Take for example the minister of an intercessor.  If God shows an intercessor that there is a wave of crime coming to a city. What is the Godly thing for an intercessor to do? The intercessor will pray and intercede until that burden has lifted. Was the city aware of the wave of crime to about to be unleashed upon it? No. Did the intercessors prayer make a difference? Yes. If the public did not see the results of what the intercessory saw, does that justify an accusation that the intercessor did not hear God? Or does it confirm that the intercessor heard God, did what God required of her and brought peace to a city which was possibly targeted for a wave of crime by the demonic realm? The results of us praying over our families are never witnessed by anybody except the demonic realm. However, take a few days off from praying the hedge of protection over your family and watch the chaos erupt.

I encourage you firmly; stand strong when it comes to defending your family in the spirit. It is our duty as a parent to protect our families in spirit, soul and body. You will never feed your children poison deliberately. Don’t make them fight their own battles in the spirit. It destroys them. Children need a safe haven to mature and to learn to love God and to imitate their parents. When you pray this prayer, you are putting up a hedge of protection in the spirit that you cannot see with your natural eye, but your children’s future will be drastically altered by your faithfulness in praying for 5-10 minutes a day.

This is not a tool to beat your spouse with and say “but you are not praying”. Any prayer is better than no prayer. God is a Faithful; He does sanctify and protect the non-praying spouse through your prayers. Keep going strong. You may be the protection your spouse needs to enable the seeds of truth to germinate in the correct spiritual environment.

Prayer is the medium to usher in miracles.

I encourage you, God is faithful. He will train you through the Holy Spirit. God is able to look after your family better than you can. All He needs is for you to be obedient, to trust Him and to embark on this exciting journey of limiting the devil’s activity in your family.

Wise Men followed the Star

The Birth of the Coming Messiah was a message that had been prophesied repeatedly and anxiously been awaited by many people, including the entire nation of Israel. It was not a secret, it was not hidden, in fact, it was very public knowledge. With this in mind, it makes the manner of “The birth announcement” chosen by God Himself so much more thought-provoking.
The first announcement was very public for all to see. It is the equivalent of us taking a billboard today, or a TV ad, or putting a video on YouTube and it going viral.

Matt 2:1-2
1 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem,

2 saying,”Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”

Wjise Men choosing to follow the Star
Wise Men choosing to follow the Star

There were more groups of Wise Men during this time than the ones who followed the Star. The King had his own wise men. Any human alive looking at the sky during that time would have seen the star, but only select wise men knew to follow it.

Prov 4:7

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

Isa 11:1-2
There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.

2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,

The Wise Men who followed the Star knew how to interpret the signs of the times. They were not only men in wisdom, but also men whose had developed their understanding of the times.

Eph 1:18

the eyes of your understanding being enlightened;

The 2nd announcement was of a more specific nature, more personal. Similar to an invitation that we would extend to invite a specific person to an occasion that we would love them to join us.

Luke 2:8-12

Angel telling the shepherds where to find Jesus
Angel telling the shepherds where to find Jesus

8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.

10 Then the angel said to them,”Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.

11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

What stood out to me in this passage of scripture was the fact that these were shepherds watching their flock at night. Sound simple? But if you look at the symbolic meaning of the Shepherd in today’s society it is representative of a pastor of a church. Keeping watch over his flock means he was caring for his people in his church. He was not fleecing them or expecting them to look after themselves; he was doing what the job required, to keep them safe from the wolves. At night speaks to me of the Pastor doing his work when no one is watching. It is dark and most people are in doors at night. These shepherds were not in it to be acknowledged by anyone. Their hearts were for the sheep. They were found faithful caring for the sheep, providing food and keeping a watchful eye over their people when no one was around to give them praise for doing a “great job”. The shepherds might not have been as educated as the wise men, but God rewarded them for their faithfulness by allowing them to worship baby Jesus for doing their work in secret. God sent an angel to give them exact instructions to find Jesus.

Building on the blog I wrote last year “Breakthrough at Christmas time“, those Believers who received breakthrough this year have a decision to make as to how to go forward.
 1. They could follow Jesus (the Star) to an undisclosed destination and an veiled reason as they had obtained wisdom and understanding by studying the Word of God and obeying the Spirit. They had already learnt to trust God and the Holy Spirit.

Bright Morning Star
Bright Morning Star

Rev 22:16

“I, Jesus, …I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”

2. Believers can continue been obedient to God’s instructions by been faithful over what God has already given them. The secret to the obedience here is going ALL the way with what God has asked you to do, even when no one is watching. Not been obedient to get recognition, earn a salary or get a Christmas bonus, but genuinely obedient to carry the Body of Christ through when times are dark and no one is watching, only God

3. Believers could opt to do nothing with their breakthrough. They  feel they have pushed and worked so hard to get this breakthrough, that they “need to reward themselves” and they stop guarding their borders which are protecting their breakthrough from an enemy they do not yet understand (new levels = new devils). This often results in them losing their breakthrough and longing for the old ways as they are totally unsettled and unstable in their new area of breakthrough. They do not have enough word, obedience or faithfulness to ground them in the new challenges ahead.

When we breakthrough, our reward is to worship at Jesus feet. To bow before Him and Worship Him in Spirit and Truth is our greatest reward. Our reward is not fame or finance, it is to bow at Jesus feet and spend time worshipping Him.

Jesus on a white horse in Revelation
Jesus on a white horse in Revelation

And if you were wondering about the “been faithful” part of the shepherds: When Jesus comes back, He is called “Faithful and True” (Rev 19v11) Jesus is Faithful. He rewards Faithful.

Jumping a couple a steps in this revelation:

Rev 19:14

And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

If we spend time worshipping Jesus, we get to come back with Him after the marriage supper riding on a white horse, equipped to defeat the enemy. The significance of this: Jesus will lead us into war if we spend the season after breakthrough at His feet worshipping Him. For those who have opted to be part of group 3, they will be fighting their own battles, be directionless and will often lose ground. It is critical that in this next season, been faithful to follow Jesus in obedience to His Word and His Spirit become our “star to follow”.

Note: there are too many scriptures linking the wisdom, understanding, faithfulness and worshipping in Spirit and Truth. I do not have enough time to connect the dots I have mentioned in this post. Doing your own study and asking God to open your eyes that your eyes may be enlightened to the revelation He has given me, will help you in worshipping at His feet in this time. I will expand more on the gaps at a later stage.

Nuggets from a Pastor’s Wife

Sorry there has not been much movement….No movement has not meant no busy :D. Its does mean 30 000 words and 156 pages and lots of proof reading! After the kids settled into schools, school books were covered and sports schedule sorted, I started seeing these words flooding my brain. One morning I sat down and decided to see where this was heading and after 5 hours of typing, I realised I had approx 5000 words. I emailed it to a couple of people and asked if there was a future.

And so….Nuggets from a Pastor’s Wife was birthed! It deals with some of the commonly accepted little white lies in a church and brings the truth and how to apply it daily. Little lies such as ‘I am been abused by the church’, ‘I am blessed’ ‘I am going through the desert’ ‘this country is in a mess’ ‘smoking and drinking are sin’ Will post a chapter or two from my book every now and then. BREAKTHROUGH @ CHRISTMAS TIME

countdown

Christmas time again!!!!

For many, a time of looking at advertising brochures (especially the children looking at the gifts they want), a time of spending more money than we intended, a time of eating more than we should (the main culprits usually been the Christmas mince pies, Christmas cake, Christmas puddings and the ever guilty Christmas lunch), and for some a time of rushing and working long and tiring hours.

But for us as Christians, our spiritual association of Christmas is with the Birth of Jesus

(forget about if it is the right or wrong date, that is not the debate here) (refer to my blog post: It is Christmas Time).

As Christians, during this season, we take time out to reflect on the Birth of Jesus as the Miracle of the Christmas.

Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus

See Luke 1:26-35

But as is true with the entire Bible, there are multiple revelations of one event, everyone revealing a new truth in God and His Word.

God recently showed me a revelational side of Christmas I had never in the 22 years of being saved, ever discovered.

This key can be found in Luke 1 v 34:

“Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?”

We have read this line so many times over the years of Christmas and never connected Christmas with the key to breakthrough in our lives.

We know Mary conceived by the Holy Spirit, and in our minds, we immediately jump to v 35:

Luke 1 v 35

And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

And we miss the importance of “how shall this be, seeing I know not a man?”

Having had a year where God told us we needed to “break every chain” in the Spirit, we’ve had to rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us during every meeting, on every camp, for every conference, in every situation we found ourselves in to be able to find the Godly key to breaking that particular stronghold we found ourselves in at that time.

God told me many people are trusting God for a Breakthrough in certain areas of their lives. But they are looking in the natural as to where the door is going to open. Or more accurately, they are looking for the “right” person, or the “right” connection or the “right” network to open doors for them. And that their breakthrough is not going to come through the “right”. Jer 17 v 5 tells us if we are not looking to God to bring about our breakthrough, but we are looking to the “right” to bring about our breakthrough, we actually open ourselves to a curse.

Jer 17 v 5

5 Thus says the LORD: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his strength and whose heart departs from the LORD (NKJV)

Your breakthrough is only going to come through the “Godly solution” of “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee”

God is saying:

“Your breakthrough is only coming through My Spirit. I will open the doors for you in ways you have not been able to reason out. Be faithful and trust Me. I will bring the breakthrough you need by My Spirit”.

Encouraging Scriptures

James 4 v 10

10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Zec  4 v 6

6 So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.

Ps 75 v 6+7

6  For exaltation comes neither from the east Nor from the west nor from the south.

7  But God is the Judge: He puts down one, And exalts another.

Is 43 v 19

19  Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

We wish all of you a Wonderful Blessed Christmas and may your time with your Family and Friends be blessed!

Remember: It is the Goodness of God that leads people to repentance. So let’s share the goodness of God in this season that is focussed on the Birth of His Son.

ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER?

                                        I have a degree… of course I’m smarter than a 5th Grader!

Within this week, I realised a 5th grader was smarter than me!

From mid January 2012, my theme for the year has been “break every chain”.  I really felt God was dealing with me to break strongholds in my life, the lives of our family and when we ministered, we had to “break every chain”. If that was not the outcome of our activities for 2012, it was almost as if we would miss God’s purpose for us.

We recently had an entrepeneurs Day at school and we held a raffle. When we drew the names of the winner, a Grade 5 boy, (for the sake of his privacy) lets call him John, won the prize. John had never been friendly to me or my children and his mother had on various occasions outright ignored me, so when John won, my thought was “oh you”. Not as excited as I would have been if someone close to me.

The workers at the stalls told me later they were really excited John had won as he told them when he bought the ticket “his family have never won anything and he had decided he was going to break that curse today by winning this raffle. “

Rapped over the knuckles, I reflected back over the events.  John had used our raffle as his point of contact to break a stronghold over his family, exactly what God had told our family was our focus for 2012. So it just goes to show, that our human nature can still be selective about who we would like to be blessed and who we don’t think should be blessed!

So in this event, a 5th Grader tapped into the spirit realm to break bondages over his family when I was not even feeling spiritual!

When God says “break every chain”, you carry power to do so even when you are not focussed on the spiritual! Yep…I had to start repenting again!

It is the presence of Jesus in you to “break every chain”. You might think it a coincidence that this happened, but there were more than 10 raffles out there that day, and he chose ours!

Deliverance from a Fiery Furnace?

Daniel 3 is our storyline.

We all know the story of Shadrach, Meshack and Abed-nego and the fiery furnace, so I am not going to retell the story. The part that fascinates me whenever I think of this story is the part that follows after King Nebuchadnezzar, full of fury commands the furnace to be made seven times hotter! (v19)

After the King commands his “most mighty men” (v20) to cast our 3 friends into the burning furnace, the King’s “most mighty men” are all killed by the heat of the furnace (v22).

Time to stop and ponder: our 3 friends were bound hand and foot (v21), so they had to be helped/carried/assisted to the edge of the furnace. Our 3 friends were the only ones left standing close to the furnace after watching these “most mighty men” fall down dead around them from the heat.

Now if it was me, this would be going through my mind:

“Oh yeah King! You see! I told you my God would deliver me!”

(v17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace , and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king)

At that point, I would have summarised the situation very quickly and realised, not one of the Kings other men would have come close to me to throw me into the furnace, their friends were lying dead at my feet! If I decided to at this particular point, to actually plead my case with the King, he would probably have listened because he would not want to die throwing me in the furnace. He knew at that particular point, he was in a very negotiable position as to making him look really powerful or really powerless before his entire nation.

Me, I would have thought that God had started opening the door for my deliverance with the guards dying, because at that point, the 3 friends were in a position of power.

Looks like the Son of God in the Fire (v25)

And our 3 friends? They decided to throw themselves into the fire without the help of the “most mighty men” of the king or without any further assistance! (v23)  The end result we know, they walk around in the fire with Jesus.

When we go through “fiery situations”, we are inclined to expect God’s deliverance before the flames reach us, but sometimes God has a bigger picture in mind than our immediate comfort zone.

A New Testament version of  this Old Testament story.

Read John 18:1-6

Judas is coming out to betray Jesus into the hands of the Pharisees with a band of men, soldiers and weapons.

(v 6) As soon then as Jesus had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

At that particular point, Jesus was free to escape as all who had come out to take Him captive, where lying on the ground, out under the power that came on Jesus when He took up His full authority by saying “I am He!”

Image

In both stories, God had a bigger plan of redemption in place than the individuals involved’s deliverance out of that particular situation.

In the 1st story a nation got to know a new God, and in the 2nd story, all the nations were freed from the curse of the law of sin and death through the death of Jesus on the cross.

Going through our trials and our own “fiery furnaces”, when we get to that point where there seems to be a deliverance from our immediate circumstances and we can walk away almost “justified” or “redeemed” or “vindicated”, we need to be very sensitive to the Holy Spirit and listen what God’s perfect purpose is for the situation. Sometimes the battles we fight are not just designed to bring us into freedom, but also the people around us. If we walk away at the 2nd best deliverance, we might miss God’s best for our lives and the lives of others.

God always gives us the choice. We can stay and go through the trail, or at a point, we can walk away. Walking away frees us and no one else. But going through, potential frees the entire body of Christ with the new truth you have learnt.

At what point in your fiery trail, do you consider yourself “delivered”?

BREAKTHROUGH – BY CHANGING THE SEED YOU SOW!

Hi Guys!!!

This is a 20 minute message I shared at a recent Breakthrough Fire Conference we hosted!

Many of us are repeatedly reaping cycles in our lives that we do not enjoy, such as anger, bitterness, resentments, judgments, strife and division. If you do not like what you are reaping, change your seed. If you do not like what you are reaping, change your seed.

I look forward to hearing some positive testimonies from the change of fruit in your life!

NOT QUITE SURE IF I DID SOMETHING RIGHT OR IF JESUS DID IT ALL

This dip is not as “shallow” as it looks, it’s actually quite deep

Hubby and I recently went, by invitation to host a Fire Conference. Well more accurately, hubby does the Fire Conference and I do the video thing….

But, 3 days before the Fire Conference, the Weather Bureau predicted floods in that area for the weekend. Even up to 4 hours before the Fire Conference we were wondering if we should not cancel because of the amount of rain that had already fallen.

Some of the flood damage on the way to the conference

Deciding the pastor of the church that invited us would cancel it if he considered it a problem; we went ahead and travelled to the city.

Travelling to the Fire Conference we rode through water up to the bottom level of the car door to get to the venue. The rain did not just pour, it was cold!  And there where not enough people to keep the warmth in the building. So wet and cold was the theme of the weekend.

Because of the downpour, we told our children to stay at home. At the end of the Friday night meeting, I got a bbm from my son “Mommy I’m sick! When you coming home?” Not the message you want to hear when you are ministering, because in the natural, you cannot do anything until the end of the meeting.

Knowing sickness is the devil stealing our health, and in this case, our son’s health and distracting us from ministering effectively through the flood and the sickness, we went home to go pray for him.

Saturday he was fine during the day, so we are back at the Fire conference on Saturday evening.

After prophesying and ministering, we head home after receiving a bbm “Mom, my head is sore!” to find our son passed out in the chair not been able to move without loosing his balance.

But this time he is very upset, as every time he tried to sleep, he would have this reoccurring dream of the devil locking him in a box and he would wake up all panicked.

After praying for him again, and his temperature not subsiding, I put him to bed and sat in the bedroom with him praying in tongues.  After about 20min of sitting in the dark praying for him, I left the room to go get some coffee…and all I heard was yells that I was not listening to his dream. Even though I tried to explain to him that I did listen to his dream and that he had fallen asleep, he kept insisting I had walked out half way through him telling me his dream. So I said to him, “You keep having a dream where the devil locks you in a cage, so I’ve been sitting here praying for you”.

“No you didn’t listen to the rest of my dream. When the devil locked me in the cage, Jesus came and unlocked it and said to the devil: “you have no right to put sickness on him. He belongs to Me” and Jesus unlocked the cage and said to me “Come out and Be healed” “

All I can do is Praise God that He does so much better at teaching my children revelations than we can ever dream of doing it!  A revelation or rhema word like that in a child’s life, gives them an understanding and an authority they would never ever doubt or question further down their walk with God!

Thank you Jesus!

(the rest of the story is obvious :D)
